Wildcats begin taxing two-a-day workouts.

Aug. 10--Any football coach worth his whistle and Sansabelt slacks will tell you that teams earn their first wins in August, when players report for two-a-day practices in the summer heat. Beginning this morning, the UA football team will report to campus for the first intensive, 15-hour-a-day work fest, which is designed to bring the Wildcats' newcomers and veterans together. The UA's 105 players will stay two to a room at the stadium dorms for the third straight year, keeping them so close to the football offices -- and under the coaches' watchful eyes -- that missing a workout is almost unheard of.
