Fed: Vic leaders extend sympathy on MP s death
Victorian Premier STEVE BRACKS and opposition leader DENIS NAPTHINE have extended their
sympathies to the family of federal Liberal MP PETER NUGENT who died suddenly this morning.
Mr BRACKS has described Mr NUGENT as a good bloke, saying his death was sad and unexpected.
Mr BRACKS says it's not appropriate to comment on the electoral implications of Mr
NUGENT'S death.
Meanwhile, Dr NAPTHINE says Mr NUGENT'S death was untimely and very sad.
He says Mr NUGENT was a very hard working and effective member of parliament.
And Dr NAPTHINE says the community and Liberal party will miss him.
