NSW:Family arrested over Sydney pub brawl
SYDNEY, Dec 24 AAP - Four people, all members of the same family, have been charged
by police after a pub brawl in northwest Sydney.
Police from Gladesville Local Area Command responded to reports of a brawl at West
Ryde hotel in Victoria Road, about 11pm (AEDT) on Friday.
Three men allegedly assaulted two security guards after being ejected from the hotel
because of their drunken state.
They then allegedly attacked a number of patrons who had assisted the guards.
Upon arrival at the scene, police were confronted by two of the three men who allegedly
became agitated and aggressive towards them.
The trio was eventually arrested and taken to Ryde police station.
A woman was also taken into custody after allegedly trying to pull uniformed police
off the men while they were being arrested.
The men, aged 50, 33 and 32, were subsequently charged with various offences, including
affray, while the woman, 59, was charged with hindering police.
They are due to appear in Ryde Local Court on January 25.
