Vic: New mental illness strategy for families
The Victorian government has announced a new strategy to help families in which a parent
suffers a mental illness.
Mental Health Minister LISA NEVILLE says the state will spend 2.4 million dollars employing
eight coordinators .. including five in rural areas .. and distribute a strategy for helping
families cope.
More than 18-thousand families in Victoria have a parent with a severe mental illness
.. being treated by a specialist.
