Qld: Man stung by irukandji in stable condition
BRISBANE, Dec 29 AAP - A 38-year-old man stung by a small but deadly jellyfish in north
Queensland is in a stable condition in hospital.
The man was stung on the hand by an irukandji jellyfish while swimming off Long Island
in the Whitsundays on Monday afternoon.
He was transported to Bowen Hospital then airlifted to Mackay Hospital on Tuesday morning.
A Queensland Health spokesman said the man was in a stable condition.
